BRAXTON AIRPORT GETS NEARLY HALF-MILLION FOR IMPROVEMENTS

The Braxton County Airport is getting more than $471,000 in federal funding for runway repairs and improvements. Sens. Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin announced the funding from the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program. The 1982 program was established to provide grants for the planning, development, and improvement of public-use airports.
