Anita Ruth Jamison, 81 - Stouts Mills

Anita Ruth Jamison, age 81, of Stouts Mills, West Virginia, departed this life at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness. She was born December 19, 1930 at Cedarville (Gilmer County) a daughter of the late Rufus and Juanita Stout Childers. Mrs. Jamison was a homemaker and mother and member of the Burnsville Apostolic Church. She enjoyed sewing, coloring and baking cakes. On January 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to Paul J. Jamison who survives at their Stouts Mills home. Also surviving are 5 children, Kent Jamison of Stouts Mills; Beverly Jamison of Stouts Mills, Ila Pope of Wagner OK, Marcella Jamison of Weston WV and Rocky Jamison of Stouts Mills; 6 grandchildren, Jenifer Strang, Danielle Jamison, Ginger Blosser, Paul Warren, Nathen Jamison, Becky Jamison and Michelle Jamison; several great and great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Freddie Childers of Anson TX and Jerry Childers of Parkersburg WV. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., Glenville at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2012 with Pastor John Verton officiating. Burial will follow in the Dusk Camp Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m., Saturday at the Mortuary. Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. is assisting the family of Anita Jamison with arrangements.
