Athletic coaches are the highest paid WV state employees.
Based on their 2011 salaries, head WVU basketball coach Bob Huggins tops the list with a salary of $1,836,000.22, according to information from the state Auditor's Office, with head football coach Dana Holgorsen coming in second with a state salary of $1,298,000.89.
The salaries do not include benefit packages and perks, which in some cases match the salaries.
Former WVU offensive coordinator Jeff Mullin comes in third with a salary of $683,000.63.
Marshall University head football coach John "Doc" Holliday was next with a salary of $638,000.76.
