Pleasant Hill United Methodist minister Rick Metheney organized a meeting between some of the power workers and church kids, so they could thank the workers and their families for their efforts.

Rev. Metheney has been opening the church each morning for the workers to have their morning meeting and have use of the facilities throughout the day.

"A video was made and text to the power workers families thanking them for loaning us their family members to help us get our power back on," said Kaye Yoak.

"I think it was a very important life lesson for these young people," she said.

Power workers faced some great challenges, working in super hot temperatures, and trekking into the woods to replace lines and poles that were broken.
