WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - A Very Patient Robber Strikes 7-11

(07/10/2012)
PATIENT ROBBER DOES IT - Kanawha County sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who robbed the 7-11 in Rand.

Lt. Bryan Robbins said a clerk told deputies a man had been loitering in the parking lot for several hours late Sunday and early Monday.

"At night they keep their doors locked and conduct business through a window," Robbins said.

Police said the suspicious man came up to the window and rang the buzzer at about 1:10 a.m., pulled a gun and demanded money and cigarettes.

The clerk gave the man four envelopes containing $566 and several cartons of cigarettes. He then fled on foot.

Police say they have a suspect in the robbery.

ELKINS HEIST - Elkins Police are investigating an armed robbery at the High Life Lounge Monday morning.

The man entered the lounge around 12:48 a.m. and forced two patrons and a worker at gun point to get behind the bar and lay down, police said.

The robber then ordered the register and safe to be opened and retrieved the contents, an undisclosed amount of cash. He then fled on foot, wearing a black ski mask.
