DOGS THAT KILLED 2-YEAR-OLD EUTHANIZED

(06/26/2012)
The two dogs quarantined for attacking and killing two year old Jack Redin of St. Marys have been euthanized following the quarantine, according to the Pleasants County Sheriff's office.

Pleasants County authorities continue to investigate the dog attack that has left the child dead.

"This is a tragic accident and as a small community we all feel sympathy and compassion for everyone concerned," said Pleasants Co. deputy Steve McFarland.

The boy reportedly wandered off, and walked into the neighbors yard.

The dogs were behind an invisible electric dog fence.

The sheriff's office believes the boy was gone just minutes between leaving his house the attack, his father finding him.
