HOLIDAY INCIDENTS REQUIRE EMERGENCY SERVICES - Logging Accident And Heat Exhaustion

A timbering accident in the Nebo area off State Route 16 in Clay County was reported afternoon yesterday. The Upper West Fork VFD responded through mutual assistance to the scene. Big Otter VFD and ambulance service from Clay also responded. No report was available regarding the injuries. Calhoun EMS responded to the Pink-Beech area at 3:30 p.m. where an individual was reported to be suffering heat exhaustion and was being administered CPR. Calhoun EMS, including a medic, and the Arnoldsburg VFD responded to the call. The male victim was taken to Roane General Hospital.
