WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - State Averaging Weekly Heists

(06/22/2012)
BANK HEISTS - West Virginia has been averaging about one bank hold-up a week,

Two men walked into the United Bank in the Charleston Town Center around 8:30 Thursday morning and demanded money.

The men ran from the bank and attempted to ditch the evidence, but police intercepted and arrested them.

They have now been identified as two homeless men.

Charleston Police found the stolen money in the parking lot near the Embassy Suites.

Bank robbery is not a crime that most get away with free money.

Most get caught.

The technology to catch crooks far surpasses the days of Jesse and Frank James, who stopped by and robbed the Huntington WV bank, and then visited their friends up and down the Elk River Valley.

CHARLESTON SHOOTING - Charleston police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot multiple times on Charleston's west side with a pellet gun.

Police say the victim had been fighting with a group of people at a residence.

Robert McQuillan of Saint Albans was shot five times in the back. He was treated and released from CAMC General Thursday night.

Detectives say the shooting may have sparked from a fight over a girl.

The female was taken to the police headquarters for questioning.

A suspect has been named.
