GLENVILLE COUPLE CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC BATTERY - Affray Over Custody Of Children In Grantsville

(06/20/2012)
A Glenville couple have been charged with domestic battery following a dispute on High Street in Grantsville Sunday.

Jeremy McCune, 29, and Anna McCune, 26, were charged by Trooper J. A. Newman of the WV State Police and taken to Calhoun Magistrate Court.

Following a 911 call, police found Anna McCune on the ground in the driveway of a residence, with multiple bruises, blood around the mouth and other minor cuts, according to the criminal complaint.

When Calhoun EMS arrived, she declined further medical treatment.

The criminal complaint says that the woman said Jeremy McCune "beat her up" and left the scene traveling toward Glenville. He was stopped by the State Police.

Anna McCune told police she wanted "to take the kids but he wouldn't open the door to the car."

Jeremy McCune said when he did open the car door, she (Anna McCune) "stuck him in the face with an open hand," says the complaint, as the woman was trying to get the children out of the car.

The woman was allegedly punched and kicked multiple times, says the complaint.

State Police notified WV-DHHR Children's Service.
