SHOOTING-SUICIDE IN CHARLESTON - Charleston Police responded to a 7-Eleven about 4:00 a.m. Saturday after a man shot a woman and later turned the gun on himself.

The woman shot was 41-year old Joyce Good.

Police say the man who killed himself is 45-year old Larry Boner.

Police say the two went to the 7-Eleven, with Good saying that she was trying to get help because she was scared of Boner and knew he had a gun.

"At that time, she told the clerk he had a gun. He fired three shots at her hitting her once in the arm then fled the scene," said Sgt. Bobby Eggleton of the Charleston Police Department.

Boner ran into the neighborhood and then shot and killed himself in a yard.

Neighbor Ashley Cantrell told WCHS-TV that she's glad Good's kids weren't home at the time.

Authorities say that Boner was recently released from Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital and Good had filed a DVP against him on June 8.
