The frequently roaming Buffalo roamed to Russett Road Saturday afternoon, escaping from the Frank Masiarczyk property on Rt. 5.

Officials have responded to numerous incidents where the escaped buffalo have reported to damage gardens and yards.

Natural resource Officer Charles Stephens and the State Police responded to a call to round-up the buffalo.

Residents said police fired rifle shots to run the animals across the river into the woods.

A Calhoun Magistrate Court report says that Masiarczyk was cited four times on May 12 and on March 31 by DNR police officer Charles Stephens for 'unlawful running at large livestock' and other related charges.
