"COSI ON WHEELS" VISITS PLEASANT HILL SCHOOL

Submitted by Deb Goff "COSI On Wheels" from the Center of Science and Industry, Columbus, Ohio, came to Pleasant Hill School recently to present a hands-on learning experience. The topic for this adventure was "The Incredible Human Machine." Twenty parent and high school student volunteers assisted Pleasant Hill students during the nine learning activities, which included: nutrition and food; the nervous, digestive and skeletal systems; exercise and heart rate; tissues and cells; and the harmful effects of tobacco and high fat foods. The event was sponsored by the PTO. Everyone agreed it was a fun learning experience that brought science to life.
