METZ FOUND NOT GUILTY IN HAND GRENADE CASE - Two Scheduled Trials Continued |

A Calhoun jury found Charles Ray Metz, 32, of Big Bend not guilty on two felony counts and the jury was hung on a third count. The indictment was related to an incident on Nobe Road that allegedly involved the throwing of an inactive hand grenade and the arson destruction of a house. The jury found Metz not guilty on a charge of wanton endangerment with a firearm and conspiracy to commit a felony. The jury was hung on a third charge related to the destruction of property. A trial set for Joshua Bohn was rescheduled for August 7. Bohn has been indicted for operating a meth lab and burglary. A trial set for Danny Lockhart, 54, of Creston, sexual abuse in first degree, was rescheduled for November 7.
