'SHINING STAR' HENRY COOPER HAS DIED FROM CANCER

(06/06/2012)
Calhoun resident Henry Cooper, 69, has died from cancer.

Cooper was a 'shining star' in the Calhoun community, unassuming and dedicated, he gave his time and energy to many community projects, never wanting recognition.

During a time when volunteerism has dwindled, he showed up for many causes.

In recent years he exhibited passion for keeping alive the Calhoun County Park, which has been facing critical financial problems.

Friends may call at the visitation service to be held Thursday. June 7, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
