FORMER CALHOUN MAN DIES IN JACKSON COUNTY CRASH

A former Calhoun man Ronnie L. Lane, 65, of Ravenswood died June 2 as the result of an auto accident near Ripley. State Police say Lane was driving west along the berm of U.S. 33 about 8:15 p.m. Saturday when for some reason he swerved across the road and into the path of eastbound traffic. Lane was hit broadside by a vehicle driven by Paul Lyons. Lyons and his son were taken to Jackson General Hospital. Lane was a son of the late Ralph and Arlie Harold Lane of Calhoun. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a former employee of the Wood Shed at Ravenswood. Private family arrangements are being provided by the Stump Funeral Home of Arnoldsburg.
