| Kathleen Marks Thomas, 83, of Grantsville, WV, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday,
May 30, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Center, after a sudden illness, surrounded by
family.
She was born July 26, 1928 in Calhoun County WV to Pearl Marks and Hattie Cottrill
Marks.
She was homemaker and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her children and
grandbabies.
Surviving are eight children, Peggy Brodeur (Lewis) of Florida, Betty Boothe (Dink) of
Grantsville, Edward Thomas (Mary) of Florida, Jeannie Starcher (Howard) of Tennessee,
William Thomas (Nikki) of Gerogia, Rick Thomas (Kathy) of Millstone, Allen Thomas
(Mary) of Sand Ridge and Charlotte Horn of Kentucky; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene, Holly and
Leonard Marks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Thomas (1998) and two
brothers Willard and Leon Marks.
Funeral services were held on Sunday June 3, 2012 at the Stump Funeral Home in
Arnoldsburg with the Rev. John Vannoy officiating. Interment was in the Metz Cemetery
at Sand Ridge. |
