DR. CUNNINGHAM GRADUATES WVU SCHOOL OF PHARMACY

Ivan Mitchell Cunningham graduated from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy on May 12 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

The commencement ceremony was held at the Morgantown Event Center in Morgantown, WV.

Cunningham graduated Summa Cum Laude and had the honor of delivering welcoming remarks during the ceremony for being at the top of his class. He was awarded the TEVA Pharmaceuticals Outstanding Student Award and was recognized for his involvement in the school's academic and leadership honorary societies, Rho Chi and Phi Lambda Sigma, respectively.

Dr. Cunningham will be pursuing a pharmacy practice residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois starting June 2012. His practice interest areas include solid organ transplantation, infectious diseases, and investigational drug research.

Mitchell graduated from Calhoun County High School in 2006 and is the son of Steven and Carolyn Cunningham of Grantsville. He is the grandson of Sadie Cunningham of Parkersburg and the late Foster Cunningham, and the late Lena Ireda and Wilford Hardman.
