GIANT WIRT 'YARD SALE' GOES UP IN FLAMES

A gigantic yard sale area and adjacent buildings off McCutcheons Run in Wirt County went up in flames Saturday morning. The property was owned by Kenny McClung, and was located a few miles from Rt. 14 near what has been called the Blue Goose Bridge. Unconfirmed reports said while the contents of the sale area burned, along with some buildings, the main dwelling did not burn. The initial report said three houses were on fire, with the Elizabeth-Wirt VFD responding to the call. It was not clear what other fire departments responded to the scene.
