Dunbar police believe someone fired about 9 shots into the building.

Police recovered 22-caliber shell casings on the road. Four of the bullets hit Smith and Jones Chiropractic's building, bursting out the glass door and hitting a window.

The fourth bullet hit the top of the building.

The bullet that went through the door, then went through two sets of walls inside. The bullet that shattered the window went through the waiting room and ended up in a door jam, police said.

Doctors said they are thankful it happened when the office was empty.

Police aren't sure why the building was shot at.
