Alpheus Junior Nester, 66 - Mt. Zion

Alpheus Junior Nester, 66, of Mt. Zion, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord April 28, 2012 due to a sudden blood clot to his lung.

He was born in Arnoldsburg and attended the Cremo Church. He was a retired stone mason.

Surviving are his wife, Margie Starcher Nester of Mt. Zion; two sons, Michael Nester of Grantsville and Richard Nester of Parkersburg; two daughters, Lisa (Jerry) Bower of Parkersburg and Vicky (Larry) Stull of Mt. Zion; three sisters, Faustine Shaffer of Fairborne, Ohio, Inez (Ola) Tucker of Elyria, Ohio and Beverly (Ray) Hall of Arnoldsburg; one brother, Roy Nester of Millstone; two sisters-in-law, Oleva (James) Nester of Harrisburg, NC and Sandy (Carl) Nester of Davisville, two brothers-in-law, Brian (Emma) Deem of Avon Lake, Ohio, and George (Joyce) McKown of Leachtown; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Russell and Oma Nitz Nester; three sisters, Emma Deem, Suzie White and Joyce McKown; three brothers, James, Lyle and Carl Nester.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Larry Bennett and Rev. Roger Carter will officiate. Interment will be in the Hur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
