Wilma Berniece Dobbins Sampson, 73, of Orma

Wilma Berniece Sampson, 73, of Orma, W.Va., passed away April 16, 2012 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility in Parkersburg, W.Va.

She was born October 15, 1938, in Calhoun Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Arnold and Lydia Bailey Dobbins.

Wilma had worked as a home healthcare giver and retired as a CNA at Eagle Pointe. She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Dennis) Houchin of Orma, W.Va. and Dawnetta (Ronnie) Gordon of Lawrenceville, Va.; two sons, Mike (Mary) Sampson of Arnoldsburg, W.Va. and Tim (Debbie) Sampson of Grantsville, W.Va.; one sister, Eleanor Evans of Vienna, W.Va.; one brother, Stan (Barbara) Dobbins of Jewett, Ohio; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Hopkins; and one brother, Junior Dobbins.

Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Carl Marks officiating. Inurnment will follow at Minnora Cemetery in Calhoun County at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
