"COME HOME TO AN OLE FRIEND" - 50th Wood Festival, Great Free Entertainment, Special Events, Carnival, Fireworks Saturday

(05/31/2012)
As it was 50 years ago, the festival keeps its home town feel. The wording on the crests says "The Tree of the Field is Man's Life". What use to be wooden jewelry and cedar chest has become an event that returns us back to our roots, our history.

To those of us who have been here from its beginning, there is no feeling like the feeling you get when you see the Carnival and Booths as you drive into town.

Organizers are asking local and out-of-state folks to come celebrate the golden anniversary - "Come Home to an Ole Friend".

This year's festival is designed to deliver the best quality entertainment, right here on the streets without a general admission fee.
