BOWLING FAMILY CONCERT RAISED $2,042 FOR COUNTY'S FOOD PANTRY

(05/04/2012)
Knotts Memorial UM Church sponsored a benefit for Calhoun's Food Pantry featuring the famous, award winning Bowling Family at 6 p.m. at Calhoun Middle-High School.

Pete Trippett, manager of the pantry, said the concert raised $2,042 for the pantry.

Trippett says record numbers, well over 300 families a month, are coming to the pantry for assistance each month, many of them first time families. The concert was made possible through generous donations from Calhoun County Bank, Minnie Hamilton Health System and Knotts Memorial UMC.
