Daniel Boone Toppings, 69 - Grantsville

Daniel Boone Toppings, 69, of White Pine Community, Grantsville, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord, April 11, 2012 at his home.

He was born at Harts WV a son of the late Walter and Alberta Mae Stollings Toppings.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years Rosetta "Connie" Toppings and his children, Wayne Toppings of Chapmanville WV, David Toppings and Danny Toppings both of Troutman NC, Timothy Toppings and Debra Yeager both of Grantsville and Bobby Toppings of Mt. Zion WV.

Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Walter Toppings, Jr., of Mt. Zion, Olan Toppings of Hurricane WV, James Toppings of Hamlin WV, Nolan and Joseph Toppings of West Hamlin WV, Juanita Brewster and Ruth Slusher both of NC and Clare Ferguson of Wayne Co. WV; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Bertie Mae Adams, a sister, Evelyn Adams, and seven brothers, Frederick, Osen, Merrel, Roger, Marvin, Samuel and Walton Toppings.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Vane Bush and Rev. John Lowther officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services at the church.
