MISTER BEE MAKING A COMEBACK

(04/13/2012)
Mister Bee Potato Chips, a well-known product in the region, is resuming production with the help of a private investor.

The Parkersburg company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last November.

A few years ago, the company dropped their oil-soaked chips for a healthier chip prepared with a different kind of oil. Customers dropped like flies, and they returned to their original formula.

The family-owned company was founded in 1951 by Leo and Sara Klein.

They serve West Virginia, Ohio and eastern Kentucky.

Mister Bee is the only manufacturer of potato chips in the Mountain State.
