LOCAL GIRL WINS TITLE - Taylor 'Miss Shamrock Starlet'

Kenadee Taylor won the title of "Miss Shamrock Starlet" at a Drum Majorettes of America baton twirling contest held in Mineral Wells, March 24. The title consisted of a combination of wins in gown modeling, fancy strutting, and solo baton twirling in her category.

Kenadee also entered Special Beginner Queen of Day, Fashion Modeling, Best Appearing Fancy (modeling in costume), and Basic Strutting (marching in a square to music). She entered in her level and also one level up, altogether entering 11 events. Her judges from PA, gave her first place in every event she entered.

Kenadee resides in Big Springs and is a Junior at Calhoun High School, where she is in the band and is also a majorette. Her proud parents are Ryka Pepper and Greg Taylor. Her equally proud grandmother is Darla Taylor. Lorraine Bailey of Orma is Kenadee's coach.
