NEW $8.3 MILLION ARNOLDSBURG SCHOOL SITE PREP WILL BEGIN

(06/20/2012)

A new $8.3 million Arnoldsburg Elementary School is set
to be built, replacing the current school built in 1951
on the flood plain. The new school will be constructed
on acquired property near the current school

Calhoun Superintendent of Schools Roger Propst says that site preparation for the school is expected to start shortly, a process that could take four or five months.

A lowest bid was accepted by the board from Capital Valley Contracting, Inc., contingent upon the approval of the WV School Building Authority. The bid is for $959,481, with an additional alternate bid for $67,585 for an access road.
