LIGHTS ON! SUMMER EVENING CLASSES - To Be Offered At Career Center

The following evening classes, funded through Lights ON!, will be offered at Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center this summer. Please call the Lights ON! Office at 354-7595 to register in advance. Payment for the Custom Woodworking class is due at registration. Class time is 6 - 8:45 p.m.

Basic Computer Operations and An Intro to Programming Instructor: Ralph Ehnstrom II This class will develop computer operating skills and the manipulation of data through computer programming in the MS-QBASIC environment. Mondays - 8 weeks Begins July 1; Ends August 19 Maximum of 15 participants, high school age and beyond. No charge.

Custom Woodworking Instructor: Ada Overbaugh Build a quality red oak bookcase without a purchased pattern. Mondays and Tuesdays - 8 weeks - Begins July 1; Ends August 20 Maximum of 8 adult participants. Cost: $50 per participant

Flat Reed Basketry (Tentative, subject to Board approval) Joyce Cain Learn basic terminology, three weaving patterns, and special dying techniques. Each participant will complete one attractive, functional basket per six hours of class time. Tuesdays - 6 weeks - Begins July 2; Ends August 6 Maximum of 10 adult participants. No charge.
