TWO CALHOUN WOMEN ARRESTED ON GRAND LARCENY CHARGES - Man Arrested On Drug Charges

Two Calhoun women have been arrested by the State Police on felony counts, one count of grand larceny and one count of conspiracy.

Crystal Dawn Bell, 26, is in Central Regional Jail on $10,000 bond, and is also being held on a Braxton County charge of receiving and transferring stolen property, with a $5,000 bond on those charges.

Sarah Marie Shaffer, 22, is in Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Crystal Dawn Bell of Arnoldsburg; Thomas J. Cooper, 72, of Walnut Road, Chloe, and Samantha Starcher, 21, of Arnoldsburg, have been indicted on three counts each of possession of Fentanyl with intent to deliver and conspiracy in February, 2012, in Roane County.

Calhoun authorities have also arrested Melvin Ray Howell, Jr., 54, and charged him on two felony counts related to delivery of a controlled substance. He is being held in Central Regional Jail on $16,000 bond.
