Betty Sharon Farrar, 70 - Glenville

Betty Sharon Farrar, 70, of Glenville, West Virginia, passed away March 13, 2012 after a short illness.

She was born June 27, 1941 in Parkersburg WV a daughter of the late Wade and Pauline Metz Farrar.

Betty was a member of the Minnora Methodist Church, she spent the majority of her life in Calhoun and Gilmer counties, working for and retiring from Waco Oil and Gas in Glenville.

Betty was a special lady, much loved by her family and friends. Our hearts are broken, but she will be remembered for her devotion to her family, sense of humor, sharp wit, love of music, poetry and sense of style and grace.

She is survived by her sister, Karen Mace of Grantsville WV; nephews, Wade (Kim) Mace of Grantsville, Justin (Cyrena) Mace of Marietta OH, Ron Farrar of Vienna WV, Dennis (Rissa) Farrar of Marietta, Chris Farrar of Oswego IL, Scott (Kathy) Farrar of Martinsville VA; nieces, Jordan Mace of Grantsville, Kathy (Mike) Green of Plainfield IL, Shari Salvatore of Vienna; sister-in-law, Marilyn Farrar of Oswego; 6 great nephews and 7 great nieces.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, William "Bill" Farrar, James "Jimmy" Farrar; and brother-in-law, James "Jim" Mace.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Minnora Methodist Church, PO Box 155, Orma WV, 25268.

Burial will be in the Prudence Chapel Cemetery, Minnora. The service will be private.

Funeral services provided by Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV.
