RICHARD "RICK" BURROWS - Parkersburg

Richard H. "Rick" "Sammy" Burrows, 61, of Parkersburg, WV, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.

He was born April 21, 1941, in Grantsville, WV, a son of Evelyn Sole Burrows of Parkersburg and the late Hayward Burrows.

He attended school in Grantsville and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a construction worker, who operated heavy equipment, and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judy Baker Burrows of Parkersburg; two daughters, Andrea Burrows of Vienna, WV and Marcella Hall of North Ridgeville, Ohio; two sons, Rick Burrows of Peoria, IL, and Danny Burrows of North Ridgeville; one stepdaughter, Tina Putman of Parkersburg; one stepson, Robert Baker of Parkersburg; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; one brother, Dean Burrows of Parkersburg; two sisters, Merlene Cline of Columbus, Ohio and Betsy Lynch of Dayton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father; one infant daughter; and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2002, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with the Rev. Lee Hammond officiating. Burial in Evergreen South Cemetery, Parkersburg. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
