GILMER CO. TEACHER TABBY BEALL RECOGNIZED

Twelve West Virginia classroom teachers will each receive a $3,500 personal check from the Arch Coal Foundation.

In addition, the West Virginia Education Association Foundation will give a $1,000 grant to each teacher's school to be used for at-risk students.

A Gilmer County teacher Tabby Beall from Gilmer County High School is one of 12 recipients.

Announcement of the teachers receiving a 2012 Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Award was made by Steven F. Leer, Arch Coal chairman and chief executive officer.

He was accompanied by West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin and West Virginia Education Association (WVEA) President Dale Lee.
