(03/05/2012)
A 911 call from a woman at Stinson (Mud Fork) Road said a man was trying to break into her house, a subject reportedly unknown to her. He was reportedly pounding on the door and windows.

State Police and Grantsville patrolman Joey Garrett responded to the call, the State Police arrested George Franklin Cason III, 43, of Stinson Road, Chloe, charging him with DUI and obstructing an officer.

Cason was parked in the woman's driveway when Trooper S. E. McCullough arrived, according to the criminal complaint.

The officer said Cason was holding a can of beer, and when he attempted to remove him "he became belligerent and attempted to start his vehicle and leave the scene...and continued to cuss the officer."

Trooper McCullough, after several attempts to remove the man, was "forced to use pepper spray."

Cason was taken to Central Regional Jail and has been released on bond.
