After thirty years the first stocking of two ponds at Calhoun County Park were stocked with bluegill this month.

The ponds will be stocked with large mouth bass later in the Spring.

Because of the small size of fish, a catch and release policy will be in effect until the ponds become more populated.

The Calhoun County Park board thanks Scott Morrison, DNR, Fish Biologist of Parkersburg and Charles Stephens, DNR, Of Calhoun County, along with Poe Gunn for help in clearing growth around the ponds.
