Gasoline prices are up for the third straight week in West Virginia.

The price is heading toward $4 a gallon, with some predictions saying it could go to $4.25 a gallon.

AAA East Central says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline rose to $3.62, but prices are as high as $3.86 in Martinsburg.

A year ago, gas prices averaged $3.17 in the state.
