| Betty Lavern (Black Betty) Nicholson age 54 of Vannoy Ridge Road, Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 4:40 a.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, following an extended illness.
She was born April 17, 1957 at Cowanda NY, a daughter of the late Tommie L. and Earleen Lee Tipton.
Three children survive, Lakisha Stewart, Jose Tipton and William S. Nicholson all of Glenville. She is also survived by 25 siblings and her ex-husband, Frank Nicholson of Spencer WV. There are 6 step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Gilmer County Senior Citizens Center, Glenville. Visiting will be 12:00-2:00 p.m., with memorial stories beginning at 2:00 p.m.
