The radiology department at Minnie Hamilton Health System, represented by Jodi Rowe RT(R)(M), accepted a grant check in the sum of $10,000.00 presented by Jim Bennett in January, from Our Community's Foundation representing the Little Kanawha Area Foundation.

The grant was written in August to help fund the purchase of new digital mammography equipment, specifically the laser printer. The radiology department at MHHS, Grantsville is excited to be able to enhance our mammography services with this state-of-the-art technology.

Our Community's Foundation, Little Kanawha Area Foundation, Parkersburg Area Community Foundation and Regional Affiliates, has generously awarded grant money in the past to MHHS to help fund other projects at the hospital, including the original start-up equipment for mammography.

In these days of ever-tightening Federal funding, hospitals welcome the opportunity to apply for grants from organizations such as Our Community's Foundation. These funds often bring much needed equipment and services to our local community hospital.
