The WV Writers 2012 Annual Writing Competition is open for entry through March 31, 2012.

The competition is open to West Virginia residents and members of WV Writers, Inc., adult or college-level.

The 'New Mountain Voices' Student Writing Contest is available for elementary and high school students with different writing categories for grades 1-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

The competition was established in 1982 and is The state's largest writing competition.

Over $105,000.00 in prize money has been awarded since 1982.

Region 1 WV Writers includes Calhoun, Gilmer, Braxton, Clay, and Roane Counties.
