WOMAN MURDERED AND ROBBED - Kanawha County officials say a Chesapeake woman was murdered and then robbed Monday.

Her family says the man who allegedly killed her was no stranger, but a friend who she was trying to help.

Police say 38-year-old John Hudson took advantage of that generosity slaying 39-year-old Michelle Gillispie in her home, where she was living with her boyfriend.

Sometime after Michelle's boyfriend left for work, police say Hudson shot Michelle in the head, robbed her home, took off in her car, leaving her dead.

Hudson turned himself into police, telling WCHS-TV that the shooting was an accident.

Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies say after the murder and robbery, Hudson tried to pawn what he looted from her house.

The woman leaves behind three children.

Hudson has been charged with murder.

MAN CONVICTED OF MURDER IN BOW SLAYING - A Morgantown man, 20-year-old Andrew McIntyre, has been convicted of second-degree murder in the bow-and-arrow death of 19-year-old Marcus Toothman, described as his friend.

McIntyre shot Toothman with an arrow from a compound bow following an argument.

McIntyre has been charged with first-degree murder.

McIntyre faces 10 to 40 years in prison.
