MAN OBSESSED CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER - Police have charged Shawn Belcher with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of daytime burglary after a shooting Monday morning in Man, Logan County.

Police say Belcher kicked open the door of Dewey Rose's home, and shot him in the face. It appears Rose's false teeth deflected the round.

Belcher then allegedly beat Rose's wife, Gaynelle Rose. She was unresponsive and unconscious. Both were flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Belcher was out of jail on bond on a stalking charge when the incident took place.

Police say it appears he was obsessed with the victims' granddaughter.

He's being held on a $200,000 cash only bond.

CHARLESTON STABBING - Charleston police are investigating an alleged stabbing and attempted robbery.

Police say Charles Henderson claims he was stabbed in the neck when two men tried to rob him on Jackson Street around 12:30 a.m., Sunday.

Henderson's injuries are not considered life threatening.
