WV OFFICIALS LOOKING AGAIN AT CAUSE FOR BRAXTON QUAKES

West Virginia officials seem to be changing their mind that numerous minor earthquakes in Braxton County, including a couple near the Calhoun County line, could be tied to the natural gas industry.

Braxton newspaper editor Ed Givens raised the issue that the injection of massive amounts of wastewater pumped into the ground by Chesapeake Energy could be causing the problem.
