(01/13/2012)
A 58-year-old Oka man's body was discovered in a cabin off Oka Road Thursday night, sources indicated he had been dead about a week.

A medical examiner was contacted.

Responders had a difficult time reaching the residence on Old Miller Hollow Road, a remote area, during heavy rain.

A Calhoun EMS ambulance got stuck on the primitive road, and other responders were called to the scene, including the Upper West Fork VFD.

Calhoun Control indicated a dozer would have to be utilized to extract the ambulance.

State Police investigated the scene, and the body was removed to the Stump Funeral Home.
