Arlena Hicks, 81 - Arnoldsburg

Arlena Hicks, 81, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia passed away January 9, 2012 at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville. She was born in Calhoun County June 29, 1930 a daughter of the late Ferris and Hallie Stump. Surviving are a daughter, Loraine Bailey of Statesville NC; two sons, Harless Eugene (bud) Hicks of Spencer WV, and Edward Dorell Hicks of Stinson WV; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a brother, Leon of Beaver Falls PA; a sister, Ella Elliott of Millstone WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Darrus Hicks; a son, Paul Edward Hicks; 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 12 at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Rev. Lester Tanner officiating. Interment will be in the Bailey Cemetery at Beech. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
