WIRT WATER PROJECT MOVING UP ROUTE 5 - Service Coming To Rural Areas

Water lines are under construction east of Elizabeth along Route 5 and 53. The $2.5 million dollar project will upgrade the Elizabeth system and provide water to new customers in the county. Elizabeth Mayor Lewis Full said an extension of the system up Route 5 near Creston is in the making. An extension will run up Route 14 toward Spencer, near the Roane County line at Blue Goose.
