Everyone was there for Friday night's varsity-junior varsity basketball doubleheader between Roane County and visiting Calhoun County.

Everyone that is except for the officials.

It seems that Roane County's athletic administration failed to line up officials for the doubleheader and the game was postponed until Monday night.

Calhoun declined to accept the forfiet option.

Red Devils coach Danny Bunch said while he'd like to get his first win of the season (Calhoun is 0-9) and break the losing streak (now at 31 games) he didn't want to do it like that.

"I want it to be on the floor. If there was cheating or something like that it would be one thing. But for the Roane coaches and players to be punished for something they had no control over no, I'd rather play it and take my chances," Bunch said.
