Calhoun County Schools held their employee recognition program on May 24, 2002. Employees were recognized for perfect attendance, years of service, Superintendent's Advisory Council, nominees for Teacher and Service Employee of the Year, Bus Driver safe driving awards, Teacher of the Year and Service Employee of the Year.

Retirees were honored for their many years of service. They were: Donna Brannon, Fern Byrd, Bill Jarvis, Cheryl McCallister, Nelma Jo McCutcheon, and Patty Mitchell. Fern and Jo retired earlier but returned for the program.

Nominees for Teacher of the Year were: Patty Haught - Pleasant Hill; Linda Jarvis - Middle School; Cheryl McCallister - Career Center; Kathy Nichols - Arnoldsburg; Anita Parsons - High School

Nominees For Service Employee of the year were: Millie Arnold - Arnoldsburg; Leo Craddock - Bus Operator; Bill Jarvis - Middle/High; Cheryl Jarvis - Central Office; Nancy Weekley - Career Center; Joyce Williams - Pleasant Hill.
