Leona M. Hardman, 81, of Parkersburg, formerly of Tanner, West Virginia, passed away December 29, 2011 at Eagle Point Health Care Center in Parkersburg.

Born in Gilmer County WV, she was a daughter of the late Lynn and Sarah Wagoner Frymier. She was a retired elementary teacher having taught 23 years in Wood County and four years in Gilmer County. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Tanner.

Surviving are her children, Tami Hardman of Mineral Wells WV, Beth Hernandez of Miami FL, Robert Hardman of Grantsville WV, Eric Hardman of Rockport WV; a brother, Claude Frymier of Smithville; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hardman; a grandson, Adam Spears; and two brothers, Jimmy and June Frymier.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery at Tanner.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
