Shelbia Jean Blessing, 60, of Spencer, West Virginia, died December 9, 2011 in the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. She was born October 12, 1951, in Clay County, a daughter of the late Calvin Murphy and the late Martha Florence McLaughlin. Shelbia was a retired employee of the WV Dept. of Health, Division of Vital Statistics, Charleston and a 1969 graduate of Spencer High School. Survivors include her siblings, Vernon Russell, Eva M. Carpenter and Gene Hughes all of Spencer; and her pet dog "Josie." The family would like to thank Hospicecare of WV and the Hubbard Hospice House for their kindness and care.
