Roger L. Weese, 62 - Glenville

Roger L. Weese, age 62, of Buttermilk Drive, Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 11:58 p.m. Thursday December 8, 2011 at his residence following a short illness. Born October 5, 1949 in Braxton County, son of Virgie Marks Weese Johnson and the late Andrew Marks. Roger was a former employee of 16 years at the Gilmer County Senior Citizens where he served as a Bus driver. He was a former employee at Glenville State College where he had 24 years of service. He was also a member of the Glenville Lions Club for 33 years, enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and had once played with Johnny PayCheck. On July 4, 1969 he was united in marriage to Evelyn Jean Metz Weese, who survives at their Buttermilk Drive home. Also surviving are 2 children, Lori Mathess of Barberton OH; and Roger Weese Jr. and wife Susan of Quakertown PA; 4 grandchildren, Kaleb Weese, Hunter Weese, Macayla Mathess, and Amber James; 1 sister, Betty Isenhart of OH; 5 brothers, Larry Johnson, Steve Weese, Jerry Weese, Jim Johnson, and Mike Johnson all of OH. Along with his father, Roger was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, Dakota Weese. At Rogers request, he had an immediate burial Saturday morning December 10, 2011 in the Weese Family Cemetery.
