ROANE FARMER INJURED BY BULL - Lakin Ryan Air-Lifted To CAMC

Well-known Roane County farmer Lakin Ryan of Gandeeville was injured Saturday morning when he was reportedly kicked and stepped on by a bull.

The incident happened at his Harmony farm on Vicars Ridge.

Ryan, in his 80's, was vaccinating cattle with his son and neighbor when the incident happened.

The bull reportedly kicked Ryan in the chest, breaking his arm.

He was air-lifted from the scene of the accident by HealthNet and taken to Charleston Area medical Center, the extent of his injuries unknown. A few weeks ago Spencer barber Henry W. Longfellow was critically injured by a bull. He is recovering.
